As the owner of K9Capers, I have dedicated my career to understanding dogs and their behavior. I have studied canine social behavior and worked in the dog care and training field for over 25 years. I hold a degree from UMass in Animal & Behavioral Sciences, as well as an A.S. in Animal & Veterinary Sci. from HCC. I currently manage a global social media group for this industry, sharing advice and information on canine social behavior and group management. Education is always ongoing, there are constant new developments in behavior research, canine ethology, and dog training methods!
The staff at K9Capers come from a wide variety of backgrounds and are chosen because of their interest in dog training, health, and care issues. They receive extensive hands-on training and take great pride in working for our nationally recognized center and upholding our high standards of behavior, safety and care.
We make every effort to treat the amazing dogs in our care with the same thoughtfulness as our own pets.
K9Capers day center for dogs has provided quality dog care service to the Agawam community for over SEVENTEEN years!
We first opened our doors in November of 2001 in a small plaza on Springfield St. in the Feeding Hills area. Since then we have expanded twice to larger facilities as demand for our services grew. We now serve about 35 customers per day from Agawam and the surrounding towns. Many of our customers have been with us since the beginning, and we are now helping them raise their second or even third puppy! Establishing long-term care relationships are a priority for our center, we would love the chance to welcome you and your new dog or puppy into our extended family!
